Refusal Techniques - Knowing what to do and doing it are two different tasks. While a student's instincts may warn him or her of trouble ahead, not knowing how to respond can make it difficult for him or her. This study guide offers students in grades 6-9 ways to say NO in specific situations. It helps students recognize good values and how they help them make right decisions. In this study guide, students learn to analyze the consequences of their actions in relation to family, peers and the law. The activities allow them to practice applying refusal techniques in a variety of situations.
