Scout leaders have a unique opportunity to influence scouts and help them make good decisions. Some adolescents may find it increasingly difficult to resist peer pressure and influence, sometimes going along with the crowd automatically, even when this leads to choices the individual know are wrong. Be Prepared To Make The Right Decisions, Right Now is a program designed for scout-aged boys to help them build skills to make good decisions, especially the decision not to smoke. The program contains a leader guide, a scout workbook, posters to reinforce each session, a sample recognition “Be Prepared” coin for scouts upon completion of the workbook, a scout pledge card and evaluation form and a scout leader evaluation form to be returned after completing the program.
